Healthiest alcohol cocktail?

I am curious for some answers on this. The more, the merrier, as I will likely sample many of your suggestions. I'm looking to drink the most "healthy" drinks possible with liquor. For example I understand vodka has less sugar than, say, rum, so I think a vodka/orange screwdriver might be more healthy than drinking coke and rum. I know alcohol isn't a dieting technique but I do like to watch my calories and sugar as much as possible. Any more ideas?
Answer:
A pomegranate martini: * 1 1/2 cups pomegranate juice
* 2 oz. Absolute Citron vodka OR white tequila
* 1 oz. Cointreau liquor
* Cup of ice
* Optional: Splash of sparkling water
* Optional: Squeeze of lemonhas vitamin c and antioxidants.
None of the drinks are "healthy". Alcohol has 7 calories per gram. Just don't drink alcohol and you'll be fine. Drink water instead. Alcohol is nothing but empty calories.
Then stick with water or Lite Beer, because they're all going to be about the same.I would guess a screwdriver would have 250 calories in it.
I'd go with either vodka (carb free!) either straight or mixed with water or diet soda, or light beer (around 100 calories each).
Studies have shown that red wine may actually have health benefits.
Actually since juice has as much sugar as coke, drinkin it on the rocks is the lowest calorie way. Vodka is the cleanest liqour and rum is the worst for your body. Very dirty and will clog your liver quicker. Of course you might get realllly smashed drinking it straight up and that's not healthy. A little bit of alcohol (not just wine) everyday is good for you.
Wine is a healthy alcoholic drink.
Alcohol consumed in moderation is thought to be beneficial in reducing the risk of coronary heart disease. Indeed, alcohol consumption in conjunction with high intakes of fruit and vegetables, may well explain the so-called 'French paradox'. The French diet is considered to be very high in fat, especially saturated fat, yet the death rate from coronary heart disease remains relatively low. It is thought this is at least partly due to people's consumption of red wine.Five Smarter Sips
1. Champagne: At 100 calories, ringing in the New Year with this traditional toasting beverage won't wreak havoc on your waistline.
2. Wine Spritzer: With 3 ounces of wine and 3 ounces of club soda, wine spritzers top out at about 60 calories and zero grams of fat.
3. Wine: The typical glass of wine weighs in at 100 calories. Opt for red and you鈥檒l get a healthy dose of disease-fighting chemicals called flavonols, too.
4. Beer: Light or regular, a bottle of beer is a much better option than most cocktails.
"Drink from the bottle instead of the larger servings from draft beers," says Gidus. Regular beer has 150 calories to the bottle, while light has about 100.
5. Vodka (or Gin) %26 Soda: Most mixers with 1.5 ounces of 80-proof spirits and diet or club soda have less than 100 calories and no fat.
I believe that would be considered a "Oxymoron". There wouldn't truly be such a thing.Having a glass or two of wine is good for your health and heart.Drinking liquor for recreation is not thought of as "healthy"in any way. Take care. SW RNP
Bloody Mary's made with V8 gives you a full serving of vegetablesMimosas are champagne and orange juice, so you get a dose of Vitamin C.Cosmos made with tequila or vodka mixed with cranberry juice, good for urinary function and vitamins.
Anything with alcohol isn't that healthy . But if you want something close to health I would go with Bloody Mary due to it being tomato juice and Tabasco in it.
use diet drinks to mix with the liquoryou can enjoy your alchohol, just dont drink alot if you want to watch you calories and sugar intake
