Health Question,everyone please try and answer...?

My father is going on a diet in an attempt to lose weight and lower his Cholesterol.He heard from my cousin's husband that if he eats only Meats and Vegetables for 40 days his cholesterol will be better and he will lose weight. He has done it for a day now and says he already feels much better...SO- What is this Diet called?What is he allowed to drink?Any specifics or helpful advice?Please and Thank You!

Your dad should definitely not drink alcohol. He should drink plenty of water.He should eat plenty of roughage: cabbage, spinach, zuchinni, etc. These act as brooms and will help to sweep-out his colon. The colon becomes clogged after years of eating unhealthy foods. Many people absorb very little nutrition from what they eat because their colon walls are coated with junk. He may want to consider a colonic.My wife is 5'4", 107#, size 0 and runs 11 miles every other day and lifts weights every other day. She did a liver cleanse, lost 7 pounds and her cholesteral dropped 72 points. Over years of abuse, stones of congealed fat congregate in the liver. She says after her first liver cleanse, the accumulation of over 100 stones was about the size of a football. Let me repeat: my wife is an extraordinary athlete in excellent shape and that is the sludge that came out of her body.
It seems like it may be a variation of the Atkins diet, which has been popular for a couple of years (basically you just cut out carbs). I'm not sure what he's allowed to drink, however alcohol is high in calories so if he wants to lose the weight, he's much better to cut his alcohol intake WAY back, or stop completely.It can get difficult, people sometimes feel like they're lacking energy, however they are not, it's just that their body is adapting to not having carbs in its system. Just make sure he sticks to it, even if it is hard at times: it will be worth it!
I feel that the previous answer regarding the Atkins diet is right on the money. However, please make sure that your father has enough cold water to drink during the day. Just plain water all by itself. We need at least 8 - 10 glasses of water per day just to stay hydrated !! If you have a cup of coffee or tea you then need to drink an extra 1.5 glasses of water per cup of coffee/tea. This is because coffee and tea are diuretics and encourage fluid loss. We all know what happens when you don't drink enough water .......... tummy aches, headaches, constipation, fatigue and exhaustion, etc.etc.etc...........PEACE

reducing rice , wheat reduces weight , if manageable let him live in vegetables and skimmed butter milk , morning honey and lemon must suit better
The best think to lose weight is healthy eating and excersice.If he don't excercise or do cardio like running or any other activity can take for ever to lose weight.
