Gaining weight?

I realllllly want to gain some weight.
i'm 5'10 and onyl weigh 100 lbs.
but then again, im only 14.
i really really hate how every one is always like "you're so skinny!" and calling me anorexic and stuff, i'm not!
i'm looking for a serious answer, most people would just say "eat more."
but , i do. i eat way more then the suggested amount of calories a day. i eat fast food and all that stuff to. i just dont gain weight, is is a fast metabilism (sp?) ? i dont know. but does anybody have some good suggestions?

You say fast food like it's a bad thing. I can eat an Egg Muffin (300), extra value meal Big Mac (1100), and still eat 600-700 calories at home without gaining a pound.Eat some cookies. They have more calories. Eat two 200 cookies everyday for a month and you will gain a whole 3 pounds. Don't try to do more exercising, or cut back.
Don't eat the fast food to gain weight, it is a bad habit and it's not healthy. It isn't how much you eat, but what you eat. I sell Herbalife and if you were older or had parents ok, I would tell you to use our diet shake. You take a shake WITH your meals to gain weight instead of as a replacement. Talk to your doctor. There are medical reasons that could keep you from gaining weight. Talk to your mom, was she the same at your age?
Good luck and be healthy.
Im on a weight gain diet too. Drink protein shakes or Ensures. Those may help a little. Im not sure why you havent been gaining. Stop eating fast food because you think that will help. Eat a lot of food but make sure most of it is healthy. If you are very active, cut down a little (im not saying stop all physical activity). Good luck, I know how you feel!

Gaining weight back after rapid weight loss?

Question #1 : Is it safe for a 50 yr old man to lose 40 lbs in 4 months?
#2 : Same 50 yr old man did not lose stomach; still looks 6 months pregnant. (Although runs on treadmill 10-15 minutes a day.)
#3 : Same man, on beta blockers (for cardiac arrythmia) is drinking 2-3 alcoholic drinks per week.
#4 : Main question : Husband has abandoned his diet plan, now eating out a lot, and is gaining some of the weight back. Is this unhealthy?
Answer:
Absolutely. Everything you describe is unhealthy.Having excess weight around the middle is a strain on the heart. Drinking alcohol (even in moderate amounts) is unhealthy....but it sounds like he is drinking more than in moderation only. Eating out isn't only bad because of the excess calories of "restaurant portions", but because you have no way of knowing how the food was prepared, what oils or trans fats are used, whether the food is organic or full of pesticide residues (etc). And finally, losing alot of weight and then proceeding to rapidly gain it back is a shock to the system. I wouldn't recommend that either.Having said all that, I have to add this: You can't change him, no matter what. If the threat of a heart attack or declining health or the begging of those who love him hasn't made an impact so far, then it never will. It is totally up to him to decide whether he wants a good quality of life, or if he wants to throw his health down the tubes. That sounds harsh, but I KNOW what I'm saying....I had to watch my father abuse his own health for years, and now my husband is doing the same thing to varying degrees. There is one thing I would suggest: Go to www.healthmasters.com and order some of their CD's on healthy living and nutrition. Dr. Ted Broer shares some things which are startling - others are just basic common sense, but listening to those CD's together MAY just convince your husband that he needs to make some permanent changes - not just temporary minor adjustments - to achieve the healthy life he can still have. I have a set called "Eat, Drink And Be Healthy", and this has radically changed my thinking in what constitutes "healthy" or not healthy......it has also changed the way I eat, shop at the grocery store, and ultimately, the way I feel and look.If he won't listen to you, he MIGHT listen to an expert.....but at least see if you can get him to agree to listen to one CD a day with you. (And you know what - these tapes might change how YOU shop and prepare food at home, so at least to some degree your husband would reap the benefits by default.)Good luck!

Gaining weight and muscle?

I want to gain 15 pounds to turn to muscle because im pretty skinny im 110 pounds and im 14. has anyone done this... if so could you tell me how. also could you suggest how to gain weight
Answer:
Go on a diet. When i mean diet i don't mean eating a little diet. My brothers friend is a nutritionist and he told me that there is a diet for gaining weight, so that when you are working out you gain muscle. I can try to give it to you if you want, and don't worry you wont be starving yourself.
I have this problem too, Im really skinny, in fact I'm underweight by several pounds. Fatima could you also tell me about the diet youre mentioning about?
Are you talking about gaining 15 pounds of fat and turning it into muscle?? It is not possible to turn fat into muscle, they are totally seperate from eachother. Lifting weights is the only way to gain muscle, along with a high calorie diet.

Gaining Weight 138+?

I'm 5'9 and weight 139 pounds, I barely meet the bmi caluclator for normal. How can I at least gain 15 pounds still with a non fat looking body?
Answer:
To gain weight you have to eat more calories than you burn. When adding calories, try to stay away from adding too much fat. While you can get fat from eating carbohydrates or protein, your body likes to use carbohydrates as fuel more than fat. To gain muscle, in addition to eating more you have to stimulate your muscles enough through resistance training that while they recover, they'll get bigger and stronger. To get an efficient workout you might want to join a gym if you aren't already a member. Guide to Gaining Weight - http://straighthealth.com/pages/guides/g...

eat junk food and sit on your butt. works for me
ok i'm waiting.....
Probably just sit around, eat TONS off junk food, and by the end of march, you may be at that,or more. good luck!
the healthy way would be to cut down exersising and eat alot of veggies and fruit and crackers it will be a healthy fat way to gain weight
Take small meals all day long but make them like mashed potatoes, streak etc. Add dessert along with it trust mefive pounds will go on easy unless you have a health issue good luck wish we all had that problem
The best, quickest idea is to add a supplement such as Ensure or Slim Fast to your regular diet. Although these are sometimes used for weight loss or meal replacers, they provide an adequate amount of calories to help gain weight.
Putting peanut butter and butter on foods will also help. Drink 2% milk, eat meats.

Gaining muscle?

im trying to gain 15 pounds of muscle by next year for football wat is the best supplement and how much is it
Answer:
I have been using GNC Mega Whey Extreme protein after lifting and taking GNC Amino Burst 3000 pills on non lift days. I have seen noticable gains in strength and muscle after using them. The protein is from 30-50 dollars depending on size and the pills are 15-20 depending on size. They are both very safe and are not filled with chemicals. I would suggest asking the person in GNC, they are usually very knowledgable.
I would also suggest not using creatine, over time it can destroy your muscles and liver. It is also on many highschools banned substance lists.
i had an issue with dis too. i dont play footballu can contact my 15 year old cuzzin. he plays football for alemany high!!!ajmj23@yahoo.comorajmj20@yahoo.com
like i said, i dont like football, but my cuzzin andrew does..
Creatine is good. Certainly dont take steroids. However make sure that you go hard in the weight room in the summer while taking the creatine. Also make sure you get lots of water. And think positive...things such as "Im getting stronger" "Im getting bigger" I no your probably not going just 4 strength, but never doubt your power or you will discourage your mind
Protein shakes!!! just go to GNC and check it out. but you gotta work out too.
Met Rx offers a couple of Weight gainers that are superior to the others, + they taste good and are a good deal. Go to yahoo search, Type in (met rx 6.25) or (met rx weight gainer). I have seen it as low as $28 for 6.25 lbs. Not many places sell this product, I think Met rx just started making this product. Because there is not a big demand for weight gainers, the price is down from what it would be 10-15 years ago when High carbs were the rage, unlike now, when low carb/low calorie is the latest "fad"............When it comes to gaining weight MORE is better then less.
