Good way to slim the area around the waist?

Answer:
Contrary to popular belief, it is impossible to spot reduce fat on certain areas of the body. The only way to reduce the fat on certain areas of the body is to reduce your overall body fat percentage. Although it may appear as though you are "spot reducing" simply because certain areas of the body tend to accumulate fat more than others, your body doesn't care whether it's taking the energy (fat) from your butt, leg, abs, cheeks, whatever. The only way to lose fat is to have your caloric needs exceed your caloric intake. 3500 calories = 1lb of fat so you need to have that deficiency equal 500 calories/day for each pound of fat you want to lose a week. Bottom line: Eat healthy, consume fewer calories, and exercise more and you will see the slimmer waistline that you seek.
you cant slim just around the waist only, losing fat is something that affects the entire body.
The unknown answer we all have been striving for!!
cardio cardio cardio. Cardio is the way you burn fat...the more you do, the more you burn. Once you've lost the fat (or while you're losing it), you can do muscle exercises targeting your abs to make them look sexy and fit, but you MUST do the cardio to lose the fat to show the muscles in the first place. Whoever tells you that sit ups will make you lose weight around your middle is full of it. There's no target training in weight loss, only in muscle building.Since you lose fat from all over your body at the same time, any kind of cardio will help--running, swimming, biking, dancing, whatever.
